The Training & Placement, UIT- RGPV plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates students passing out from the UIT-RGPV by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. Basically, it acts as the interface between various companies seeking talented young graduates and postgraduates in various disciplines. Training & Placement Cell, UIT-RGPV also intends to provide students with a platform for using their potential to gain valuable experience by working in the industry, companies, or various emerging startups.

The main objective Training & Placement Cell, UIT-RGPV is to provide personal and career related support to the students with special emphasis on training the students on employability skills and ultimately provide placement in various Industries or Organizations by arranging campus recruitment drives. Some objectives are mentioned below:

Developing the students to meet the Industries recruitment process.

To motivate students to develop Technical knowledge and soft skills in terms of career planning and goal setting.

To motivate students and to aspire them for higher studies by guiding them to take competitive exams such as CAT, GATE, TOEFL, GRE, IES, UPSC, TNPSC etc.

Aiming to place the maximum number of students through campus & off-campus interviews conducted by the top companies.

Inform students about the available job opportunities in government sectors and off campus drives.

Inform students about the available internships.

The placement cell organizes on-campus and off-campus recruitments and pre placement training programs in aptitude test, group discussions, interviews and presentation.

Students are informed of various job, internship & training opportunities through this cell. The details of opportunities and related information are prominently displayed on notice boards and are communicated through emails, google groups & WhatsApp group, UIT portal & RGPV Portal to individuals as well as groups of students.

Apart from this student were also inform about the available job opportunities in government sectors and off campus drives.

TPC keeps in touch with alumni and takes their help to approach industries and to mentor students to prepare them well for placements.

Resource persons are invited from alumni and industry to help students prepare for government exams like Group Services, Bank Exams, SSC, APPSC, UPSC etc.

Conduction of Psychometric/ Employability test of the students and make them aware about their weaknesses & strengths and help them to overcome their weaknesses.

To build the confidence of students motivational talks as well as counselling sessions were also organized.

Mock interviews are conducted by Industry persons for the students eligible for placements.

During the pandemic online internship training programs and workshops/seminars were organized to enhance the technical & soft skills of the students.

Organization of coding competitions & hackathon etc to enhance the coding skills of students.

Organization of faculty development program on recent technology to train the trainer.

Introduces Rural Internship. It is an internship carried out in the rural area. It is a work-based activity in which students are engaged in learning through practical experiences in rural areas. The primary objective of Rural Internship program is to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among school students especially girls residing in the villages so as to increase the GER (Gross Enrollment Ratio). This will lead to improvement in capacity planning in engineering diploma and degree courses in the state's technical institutions

B Keeping in view the industry requirements, the training curriculum is designed for preparing the students as entry level Graduate Engineer Trainees. These includes: Personality development, Communication skills &vocabulary, Resume preparation & email writing, Group discussion, Interview skills, Aptitude training &practice tests.

C The institute has introduced Language lab, Soft Skills and Business English & Technical writing subjects as mandatory courses in the UG curriculum for all the students.

D Value addition courses were organized on recent technologies like C, C++, Machine Learning, Internet of Things etc.

E During COVID time an MoU is done with Coursera where 10,000 free licenses were received for students to do free certification courses.

F Workshops, Training & Special certification courses were conducted to make students industry ready.

G Awareness is created in the students from their first year of study about various career opportunities and options by faculty of the college, Alumni and Industry Persons.

H Resource persons are invited to guide the students to pursue higher education in different fields (technical / management) and different universities in India and abroad.

Provision for Industrial training in the curriculum of students. TPC arrange & forward the applications of students for this.

2 Experts are invited from various MNCs and other industries to give lectures on recent domain based advancements, and cutting edge technologies, the state of art research topics, latest software’s to enhance the knowledge of students.

3 Industry academia interactions are further strengthened by sending the students for internship in companies according to MoUs signed by both college and industry.

4 HR meets are conducted by inviting HR managers of various MNC and organization for interaction and collaboration with the student.

5 Organizes Industry Academia Meet to take feedback on course and also to make students aware of industry need.

6 Industry Collaboration activities with firms like TCS, IBM, Persistent, Infosys, BYJUS,NETLINK etc.

7 MoU with CISCO and started CISCO Academy at Institute.

8 MoU with REDHAT and has REDHAT academy at the institute.

9 Students are advised to register on AICTE Internship Portal to avail benefits of getting internships.

10 MoU with Internshala for providing online/offline paid/unpaid internship to students.

11 MoU with NASSCOM and Infosys.

40% - 50% of eligible students are getting placed in reputed companies.

More than 30 companies are considering our college for campus hiring every year.
